The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification urging schools to refrain from visiting its regional office in Delhi due to traffic restrictions caused by the ongoing ‘Hanuman Katha’ organized by self-proclaimed godman Dhirendra Krishna Shastri in the IP Extension area. The event, taking place from July 6 to 8, has led to the deployment of additional police personnel to manage the anticipated crowd of over one lakh people.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and to prevent any inconvenience to the public, the Delhi Police released an advisory on Monday, highlighting the Hanuman Katha being conducted by Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the chief priest of Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh. The Utsav Ground in Delhi’s IP Extension has been chosen as the venue for this religious event.

Understanding the potential traffic congestion and the massive gathering expected at the Katha, the CBSE has taken a proactive step by advising schools to avoid visiting its Regional Office in Delhi (East) from July 5 to 8, if possible. The board has encouraged schools to utilize online communication channels during this period to minimize any disruption in official correspondence.

The CBSE’s decision comes in light of the significant logistical challenges that may arise due to the presence of a large number of devotees attending the Hanuman Katha. With an estimated gathering of over one lakh people, the event is expected to generate heavy traffic congestion, making it difficult for people to navigate through the IP Extension area.

The Hanuman Katha, led by Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, has gained attention and a significant following. Shastri, who is known as a self-styled godman, holds the position of the head priest at Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh. The religious discourse and storytelling sessions are centered around the deity Hanuman, a revered figure in Hindu mythology.

In response to the CBSE’s advisory, schools are expected to adjust their schedules and resort to digital means for communicating with the Regional Office during the specified period. By leveraging online platforms, schools can ensure the continuation of essential administrative processes while minimizing any disruption caused by the traffic curbs.

The Delhi Police, in collaboration with local authorities, has made arrangements to manage the traffic flow and maintain order during the Hanuman Katha. Their efforts aim to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring the safety and convenience of all residents and visitors in the IP Extension area.

It is important for schools and other institutions to adhere to the advisory issued by the CBSE and take appropriate measures to mitigate any potential disruptions caused by the Hanuman Katha. By avoiding visits to the Regional Office and opting for online communication, schools can contribute to the overall efficiency of administrative processes and help maintain a peaceful environment during the religious event.

The CBSE’s proactive approach in advising schools to adjust their plans and utilize digital communication channels demonstrates their commitment to minimizing any inconvenience caused by the traffic curbs imposed during the Hanuman Katha. By prioritizing efficient administrative operations and ensuring the safety of students and staff, the board sets a positive example for effective management during large-scale events in the future.
