Strong Coordination With Election Authorities
Importantly, the CRPF has intensified coordination with the Election Commission of India, state governments, and local police units. Officials have already held several rounds of meetings. These discussions focused on deployment plans, logistics, and security mapping.
“We are fully prepared,” Singh said. “We have held detailed discussions with the Election Commission and the concerned state administrations.”
Moreover, the CRPF continues to review sensitive districts. It has also prepared contingency plans to tackle any law-and-order challenges.
Elections in Five Key States
This time, voters will elect new governments in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.

Since the CRPF acts as the national nodal agency for deploying central armed police forces, it will play a central role. The force will guard polling booths. It will escort polling personnel and voting machines. In addition, it will conduct route marches to build voter confidence.
Prepared for Any Poll Schedule
Meanwhile, political parties in Assam have demanded single-phase elections. However, Singh made it clear that the CRPF will follow official directions.
“We are prepared for whichever way the Election Commission decides,” he said. “We will act according to the directions given by the Ministry of Home Affairs.”
Therefore, the force remains flexible. It can adjust deployment strength and schedules as required.
Focus on Free and Fair Polls
Traditionally, the CRPF strengthens election security across India. It protects sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths. It also supports local police in maintaining order.
Furthermore, early coordination allows better planning. Officials can identify vulnerable pockets in advance. As a result, they can deploy adequate forces and prevent disturbances.
With campaign activities gathering pace, security agencies have stepped up monitoring. Consequently, authorities expect tight security arrangements in all five states.
In conclusion, the CRPF has reaffirmed its commitment to free, fair, and peaceful elections. As polling dates approach, the force will continue to coordinate closely with all stakeholders to ensure smooth conduct of the democratic exercise.
