Police Operation and Attack on Naka Team
Capital Police intensified night patrolling across Itanagar to curb rising late-night criminal activities. During a naka operation in Baath Village, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle approaching at high speed.

Police investigations revealed that the incident is linked to an organized interstate cattle theft gang operating along the Arunachal Pradesh–Assam border. The gang is believed to be involved in multiple theft cases across both states.
During follow-up operations, police arrested Dilbag Hussain and Anarul Haque. Another आरोपी, Ashok Yangfo from Banderdewa, was also apprehended for allegedly helping facilitate the sale of stolen cattle.
Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation
Chimpu Police Station registered Case No. 33/2026 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Motor Vehicles Act.
Superintendent of Police Jummar Basar praised the courage and swift response of the naka team. He also commended SDPO Chera Saban and Inspector N. Nishant for their leadership in the operation.
