PDNA Report Highlights Major Losses
The State Disaster Management Authority reviewed the Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) report during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Thursday.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen Project Management Units under several national programmes.
These include the National Landslide Risk Mitigation Project, the National Earthquake Risk Mitigation Project, and the Forest Fire Risk Management Scheme. Together, these programmes seek to improve disaster resilience.
Government Approves Recovery Projects
The SDMA approved 178 recovery and reconstruction projects under the 2024–25 Recovery and Reconstruction Fund.
The approved projects have an estimated cost of ₹11.44 crore. Officials also reviewed the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) and discussed the purchase of additional search and rescue equipment.
ASF Proposal Under Consideration
The meeting also discussed a proposal to declare African Swine Fever (ASF) a state-specific disaster.
