Air India Express Launches Two Direct International Routes from Guwahati

Guwahati: Air India Express will strengthen Northeast India’s global air connectivity by launching direct flights from Guwahati to Dubai and Abu Dhabi next month.

The airline will start its non-stop Guwahati–Dubai service on August 4. Subsequently, it will launch direct flights between Guwahati and Abu Dhabi on August 7.

The Assam government confirmed the development after Air India Express briefed state officials about its international expansion plans.

New Flights to Benefit Thousands of Travellers

The new services will make international travel easier for passengers across Assam and the Northeast.

Tourists will enjoy faster access to the United Arab Emirates. Likewise, business professionals will benefit from improved connectivity. Students studying in the Gulf will also have more convenient travel options. In addition, members of the Indian diaspora living in the UAE will gain direct access to Guwahati.

As a result, passengers will no longer need to rely on connecting flights through other Indian cities for these destinations.
