A shooting occurred at a gurudwara in Sacramento County, California, during the celebration of its first Nagar Kirtan, leaving two wounded on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened at the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society and involved a fistfight between two men on the temple premises that escalated into a shooting.
One of the men shot at the friend of the other combatant, and the second man involved in the fight fired upon the first man and ran off.
Police officials took away two men in parades, although their involvement in the shooting has not been confirmed.
The situation is contained, and there are no further threats to the area or the parade. The Bradshaw Sikh Society called the incident unfortunate and said that the culprits were not part of the parade and showed up hours after it left.
