He emphasized that Delhi Police has expertise in managing crowds during festivals and celebrations. Thousands of police personnel have been deployed in the central district of Delhi to maintain law and order. Residents have also been cooperating in creating an orderly atmosphere.

In observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, public and private sector banks remained closed on April 22, 2023, in many states across India, including Belapur, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Telangana, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, and Srinagar. The Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar designates the fourth Saturday of the month as a bank holiday for Eid.
