In honor of National Education Day, DevElet, in collaboration with the Council for Skills and Competencies (CSC India), proudly presented the National Teaching Excellence Awards 2024. This prestigious virtual ceremony recognized distinguished educators across India who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and innovation in the field of education. Held to commemorate Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s legacy, this event convened prominent educators, industry leaders, and policymakers united in the commitment to elevate educational excellence.

CSC India: Championing Skill Development and Digital Inclusion

CSC India, is a non-profit industry body registered with DARPAN under NITI Aayog and the forefront of driving skill development, digital literacy, and employability across India. Through partnerships with leading entities like the Wadhwani Foundation, C-DAC , National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), and AICTE’s National Internship Portal and National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), CSC India bridges academia and industry by fostering competencies aligned with global standards. It is also a key ally of CSC e-Governance Services under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology in advancing digital inclusion initiatives, particularly in rural communities.

The event was graced by Dr. G. Jaya Suma, Registrar of JNTU-GV Vizianagaram, as the Chief Guest, who lauded the essential role of educators as “pillars in the mission of building a skilled and knowledgeable society.” Her message resonated with the ethos of Maulana Azad, India’s first Minister of Education, emphasizing the role of education in nation-building.

Keynote speakers included Dr. R. Sujatha, Principal at Wadhwani Entrepreneurship Network, who highlighted the integration of entrepreneurial education in skill development, and Shri Krishna Chippalkatti, Joint Director at C-DAC, Bengaluru, who spoke on the transformative power of technology in modernizing education.

Awards and Recognitions: Honoring Excellence in Education

The awards spotlighted educators excelling in categories such as Teaching, Leadership, Innovative Pedagogy, Curriculum Innovation, Research, and Professional Development. Some of the distinguished honorees included:

– Dr. VSK Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Malla Reddy University, for his impactful leadership in higher education.

– Dr. PHV Sesha Talpa Sai, Director of R&D and Startups at Malla Reddy University, recognized for his academic achievements.

– Dr. Srinivasa Rao, Principal at Malla Reddy College of Engineering & Technology, for excellence in educational administration.

Best Researcher Award:

· Dr. T. Kishore Kumar, Professor & Head at the Centre for Training and Learning, NIT Warangal.

· Dr. A.N. Sathyanarayana, former Group Head at ISRO’s National Remote Sensing Centre and Professor at Sreenidhi Institute of Science & Technology, Hyderabad.

· Dr. N. Balaji, Professor and Director of Legal & Government Affairs, JNTU Kakinada.

Additional awards were conferred upon distinguished faculty members from leading institutions, such as IISc Bangalore, Srinivas University Mangalore, CHRIST University Bangalore, and NIT Warangal, among others.

Both DevElet and CSC India reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a dynamic educational ecosystem. In his address, Mr. Y. Rammohan Rao, Senior Consultant at CSC India, Kishan Tiwari, CEO of DevElet emphasized the importance of quality education in shaping a progressive society, underscoring CSC India’s role in building digital competencies and enhancing socioeconomic opportunities across India.
