India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, stressed the necessity of establishing a shared vision to realize the goal of a developed India by 2047. During his address at the eighth Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, attended by various chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories, and Union ministers, Modi urged states to make financially responsible decisions capable of implementing programs that align with the aspirations of citizens.

The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) reported through a series of tweets that Modi highlighted the significance of state-level growth for the overall progress of the country. He further emphasized the need for a common vision in order to achieve a developed and prosperous India by 2047, referring to it as a “Vikasit Bharat.”

The gathering, held at NITI Aayog, aimed to discuss and deliberate on various issues pertaining to the country’s development. With the presence of key policymakers and representatives from different states, the meeting provided an opportunity for collaborative decision-making and the exchange of ideas.

During his speech, Prime Minister Modi underscored the importance of financial prudence in decision-making processes at the state level.
