Now that the initial counselling round is wrapping up, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, will open the seat choice filling window. Candidates who completed document verification and met the eligibility criteria can participate in this phase from July 30 to August 1, 2025.

Key Steps:

  • Log in to the official DME Assam counselling portal: https://dme.assam.gov.in
  • Fill your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority
  • Lock your choices before the deadline (August 1, 11:59 PM)

Missing this deadline could mean losing out on a seat in Round 1, so candidates must remain proactive.

This year, Assam is offering 1,550+ MBBS seats across multiple institutions. These include:

  • Government Medical Colleges in Guwahati, Silchar, Jorhat, and Tezpur

Of these, over 85% are reserved for state quota candidates, while 15% fall under the All India Quota (AIQ). Candidates from Assam who scored above the NEET-UG 2025 cutoff can participate in the state quota seat filling.
