BTS’ Jungkook and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu Join Forces for the ‘SUPER Challenge’

In a delightful surprise for fans, BTS member Jungkook and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu recently teamed up for the ‘SUPER Challenge.’ The video, initially shared on the fan community forum Weverse on June 9, quickly gained popularity, accumulating over a million views and hundreds of likes. The clip soon spread like wildfire across various social media platforms, including Twitter.

The heartwarming video features Mingyu respectfully bowing to his senior, Jungkook, multiple times. Mingyu expressed his regret for not contacting the BTS star earlier and offered a sincere apology for his delay. He also expressed his excitement about the upcoming performance.

Mingyu revealed on Weverse that his visit to Jungkook wasn’t initially intended for filming the challenge. However, since they had already met, the duo decided to record the challenge together. Interestingly, Mingyu shared that he was so unprepared for the performance that he only wore slippers during the shoot with his sunbaenim (senior).

Jungkook, on the other hand, took the opportunity to request his fans’ support for the digital single ‘Take Two… I love you!’ The song commemorates the 10th anniversary of the renowned Korean music group, Bangtan Sonyeondan (also known as Bulletproof Boys or BTS). Released on June 9 at 9:30 am Indian Standard Time, ‘Take Two’ holds a special place in the hearts of BTS and their beloved fan group, the BTS Army.

Reflecting on their incredible journey, Big Hit Music, the agency representing BTS, stated, “To celebrate their 10th anniversary, BTS will release the digital single ‘Take Two’ this coming June. All seven members participated in ‘Take Two,’ showcasing their gratitude towards their dedicated fanbase.”

As fans eagerly await the release of ‘Take Two,’ it is worth noting that BTS is currently on a break as a music group. Two of its members, Jin and J-Hope, are fulfilling their mandatory military service in the South Korean armed forces. Nevertheless, the members continue to support one another and engage in various collaborations and solo projects to keep the BTS spirit alive.

Looking back at their remarkable journey, it is incredible to see how far BTS has come since the release of their first single album, ‘2 Cool 4 Skool,’ on June 12, 2013, under the management of Big Hit Entertainment. Over the past decade, the group has captured the hearts of millions worldwide, breaking numerous records and paving the way for K-pop on the global stage.

BTS’ immense success can be attributed not only to their talent and dedication but also to the unwavering support of their dedicated fanbase, the BTS Army. Through their music and genuine connection with fans, BTS has created a strong bond that transcends language and cultural barriers.

As the anticipation builds for the release of ‘Take Two’ and the future endeavors of both BTS and its individual members, fans can take solace in the fact that the group’s legacy is far from over. With their exceptional artistry and a fanbase that spans the globe, BTS continues to inspire and touch the lives of millions, spreading messages of love, resilience, and unity.

In the ever-evolving world of K-pop, collaborations like the ‘SUPER Challenge’ between Jungkook and Mingyu remind us of the mutual respect and camaraderie among artists. Such moments of connection and friendship strengthen the bond between fan communities and contribute to the shared joy and appreciation of music.

So, let us celebrate the 10th anniversary of BTS and eagerly await the release of ‘Take Two,’ while supporting Jin and J-Hope during their military service.
