Shah to Review Border Security at Natunpur
Shah will stay overnight in Silchar, located in Cachar district. On Friday morning, he will visit the Border Security Force’s Natunpur border outpost along the India–Bangladesh border.

He will review security preparedness and assess surveillance measures at the outpost. Officials said he will examine operational readiness and discuss strategies to strengthen border management.
During the visit, Shah will launch the Vibrant Villages Programme. The scheme focuses on improving infrastructure, connectivity, and livelihood opportunities in remote border villages. The initiative aims to boost development in frontier areas and prevent migration from border regions.
BJP Rally in Barak Valley
Later on Friday, Shah will address a major BJP rally in the Barak Valley. The rally will formally launch the party’s election campaign in southern Assam.
The Barak Valley includes Cachar, Karimganj, and Hailakandi districts. BJP leaders consider the region politically crucial. Shah is expected to highlight development projects, welfare schemes, and the party’s roadmap for the upcoming elections.
After the rally, Shah will travel to Agartala in neighbouring Tripura for a brief visit. He will return to Assam later in the evening.
CRPF Annual Day Parade in Guwahati
On Saturday, Shah will attend the annual day parade of the Central Reserve Police Force at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati.

This marks the first time the CRPF has chosen the Northeast to host its annual day parade. The move highlights the Centre’s growing focus on the region. The event will showcase ceremonial drills and operational strength.
Foundation Stone for Assam Police Battalion Campus
Shah will also lay the foundation stone for the new campus of the 10th Assam Police Battalion at Kasutoli in Sonapur, on Guwahati’s outskirts. The project will strengthen police infrastructure and improve training facilities.
Officials expect the new campus to enhance operational efficiency and provide better accommodation for personnel.
Third Visit Since December
This will be Shah’s third visit to Assam since December 29. Senior BJP leaders have increased their visits as election preparations gather momentum.
Shah’s itinerary combines governance, security review, and political outreach. His visit is expected to energise party workers and sharpen the BJP’s campaign strategy ahead of the Assembly elections.
