The report also highlighted the recruitment of officers across various state services, demonstrating the commission’s pivotal role in ensuring an efficient administrative workforce.

The report further described initiatives to modernize examination processes, including the adoption of digital evaluation methods, updated syllabi, and online application systems to improve accessibility for candidates across the state. These steps are aimed at making recruitment more transparent, efficient, and candidate-friendly.

Commitment to Transparency and Accountability

During the meeting, Prof. (Dr.) Pradip Lingfa emphasized APPSC’s commitment to transparent recruitment procedures. Detailed records of candidate performance, examination protocols, and result declaration timelines are maintained to ensure accountability.

Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik lauded these measures and urged the commission to continue leveraging technology to reach remote areas, making civil service recruitment more inclusive. In a geographically diverse state like Arunachal Pradesh, digital solutions are key to maintaining fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates.

Addressing Recruitment Challenges

The annual report also highlighted challenges faced during the past year, including logistical issues due to difficult terrain, delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and increasing candidate numbers.

The Chairman assured the Governor that the commission is taking measures to overcome these challenges. These include improved coordination with district administrations, holding examinations in multiple centers, and monitoring all processes strictly to prevent delays. Governor KT Parnaik expressed confidence that these steps would strengthen recruitment efficiency and maintain public trust in the system.

Public Engagement and Awareness

The APPSC team also highlighted initiatives to engage the public and increase awareness about civil service opportunities. These include outreach programs in schools and colleges, online portals for notifications, and helplines to assist candidates.

The Governor stressed the importance of reaching candidates in remote areas, ensuring they have access to resources and guidance. This approach helps make Arunachal Pradesh civil services more inclusive and representative of the state’s diverse population.
