Operation Brings Relief to Residents

Officials then cornered the elephant in a controlled manner. After that, they safely captured and relocated it to a forest area far from human settlements. Consequently, this step will reduce the chances of future human-wildlife conflict.


Government and Agencies Coordinate Efforts

Chief Minister Pema Khandu praised the joint effort. He highlighted the importance of coordination between state officials and external experts.

Furthermore, he appreciated the support from national organizations such as the National Tiger Conservation Authority, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and the Wildlife Institute of India.

Khandu also acknowledged the dedication of veterinarians, field staff, and technical teams. Their teamwork ensured the success of this complex operation.

Earlier, officials conducted site inspections to assess the situation. Mohesh Chai, along with senior forest officers, visited the affected areas.

They reviewed strategies and monitored progress regularly. Therefore, their active involvement helped improve coordination and decision-making during the operation.
