In a fiery public address on Tuesday, BJP MP Kirodi Meena pledged to expose alleged corrupt practices within the Congress-run state. Meena specifically targeted Minister Shanti Dhariwal, accusing him of involvement in various scams related to mining and the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme. Speaking before a gathering of party workers in a public meeting, Meena claimed that the Department of Information and Technology (DoIT) had been embroiled in a massive scam worth Rs 5,000 crore. He further alleged that when the Anti-Corruption Bureau sought permission to investigate the matter, the chief minister denied them the opportunity.

Meena asserted that the BJP would continue its relentless pursuit of exposing corruption in the state. He assured his audience that forthcoming revelations would shed light on a mining scam as well as corruption cases involving Minister Shanti Dhariwal in the areas of Jal Jeevan Mission and Urban Development and Housing.

The allegations made by Meena have triggered a wave of political debate and speculation. The BJP MP’s bold statements have intensified the already charged political atmosphere in the state, with both the ruling Congress party and the opposition BJP engaging in a war of words.

The primary focus of Meena’s allegations revolves around Minister Shanti Dhariwal. While the specifics of the alleged scams were not disclosed during the public address, Meena’s claims have stirred curiosity among the public and the media.

The BJP has been persistent in its efforts to expose corruption within the state administration. Meena’s public declaration comes as part of a larger campaign undertaken by the party to highlight instances of alleged malfeasance and dishonest practices. The BJP believes that such exposés will not only bring to light the truth but also dent the credibility of the ruling Congress party ahead of the upcoming elections.

The Department of Information and Technology (DoIT) has been under scrutiny for some time, with allegations of corruption surfacing periodically. Meena’s claim of a staggering Rs 5,000 crore scam within the department has further fueled the controversy. However, without concrete evidence or an official investigation, these allegations remain unverified.

The denial of permission by the chief minister to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to investigate the alleged DoIT scam has raised eyebrows and led to further conjecture. Critics argue that this move undermines the state’s commitment to rooting out corruption and maintaining transparency in governance. Supporters of the chief minister, on the other hand, contend that there may be valid reasons behind the denial, which have not yet been disclosed to the public.

The BJP’s promise to expose a mining scam and corruption cases related to the Jal Jeevan Mission and Minister Shanti Dhariwal has added fuel to the ongoing political battle between the two major parties. As the elections draw nearer, both the BJP and the Congress will likely intensify their efforts to discredit each other, making corruption allegations a central part of their respective campaigns.

It remains to be seen how the allegations made by Kirodi Meena will unfold and whether they will have a significant impact on the political landscape of the state. As the public eagerly awaits further developments, the battle between the BJP and the Congress over corruption charges shows no signs of abating.
