Introduction 

Tragedy struck on Tuesday afternoon when a horrifying head-on collision occurred between an oil tanker truck and a luxurious Rolls-Royce on the Delhi-Mumbai-Baroda Expressway in Nuh, Haryana. The collision claimed the lives of the oil tanker driver, identified as Rampreet, and his helper, Kuldeep, both hailing from Uttar Pradesh.

According to authorities, the oil tanker, which was reportedly being driven on the wrong side of the road. This crashed headlong into the Rolls-Royce near Umri village under the jurisdiction of Nagina police station. The impact was so severe that the Rolls-Royce immediately burst into flames upon impact. Thankfully, the five occupants of the luxury car had guardian angels in the form of their relatives who were closely trailing behind in another vehicle. Swift action by these family members ensured the rescue of all five passengers from the blazing inferno.

Two injured passengers

The injured passengers of the Rolls-Royce, identified as Divya and Tasbir, residents of Chandigarh, and Vikas, a resident of Delhi. They had to be promptly rushed to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital for medical attention. Authorities have confirmed that they are currently undergoing treatment and are in stable condition.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Ashok Kumar is leading the investigation into the incident. He stated that an FIR (First Information Report) would be filed after recording the statements of the injured victims. He also shared that family members of the deceased and injured have been notified about the accident.

The collision has ignited discussions about road safety and the importance of adhering to traffic rules. The tragic loss of life and the harrowing nature of the accident serve as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of reckless driving and road rule violations.

As investigations continue, authorities will be working diligently to uncover the circumstances that led to this devastating collision. This incident underscores the need for vigilance and responsibility on the roads to prevent such heart-wrenching accidents in the future.
