Priyanka Chopra has revealed that she once found herself behaving like her character in the movie Aitraaz in real life, and her mother had to scold her for it. In an interview with Film Companion, the actress said that she normally doesn’t have any difficulty getting into or out of her characters, but this one time was an exception. Priyanka said that she was so nervous about playing the character of Sonia that she would bring it home with her, behaving deliberately and talking slowly.
Her mother, Madhu, noticed the change in her behavior and shot a video of her to show her how she was behaving. Priyanka said, “My mother was like, ‘Hello, koi camera nahi hai yahan pe. Come back home. That was the only time it happened to me, it was so funny. I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ But I was so young, and I was so nervous about that character. I used to bring it home, I wanted to figure it out and not get it wrong.”
Priyanka also admitted that working with established actors like Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor on the film had made her nervous. She said, “It was a big step for me. But my mother quickly brought me down to earth.”
Priyanka will soon be seen in the upcoming spy series Citadel, which will be released on Prime Video on April 28. She is also set to star in the romantic comedy Love Again. She is planning her Bollywood comeback with Farhan Akhtar’s road trip drama Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
