Star cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, who represents Star India and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), had the privilege of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Jadeja took to Twitter to express his admiration for the Prime Minister’s dedication and hard work, posting a picture of their meeting that quickly went viral.
Currently focused on CSK’s participation in IPL 2023, Jadeja is in the capital for their last league match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. While CSK aims to secure a spot in the playoffs with a victory, DC, already out of the race, aims to play the role of a party spoiler.
Jadeja has been performing well, taking 16 wickets at an economy rate of 7.22 and contributing 133 runs in nine innings. Although CSK’s top order has been strong, Jadeja has provided important cameos with the bat when needed. Chennai will rely on his good form as they approach the playoffs, with the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator scheduled to be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Jadeja personally has been in reasonably good form. In the 13 matches, he has scalped 16 wickets at an economy of 7.22 with a best of 3/20. In addition, the Southpaw has accumulated 133 runs from 9 innings at a strike rate of 127.88. The 34-year-old hasn’t been required to do much with the bat with CSK’s top-order doing the bulk of the scoring but whenever the situation has demanded, Jadeja has chipped with vital cameos with the bat.
