Speaking to reporters, Garcetti emphasized the strong economic ties and shared desire for a peaceful and prosperous Indo-Pacific region between India and the United States. He mentioned plans to deepen defense cooperation and collaborate in sectors such as space and technology.

He expressed the President’s directive to streamline the process not only for students but also for first-time visitors.
Earlier, Garcetti had shared a video on Twitter, showcasing his visit to Maharashtra Bhawan in Delhi, expressing his eagerness to explore the diverse flavors of India and inviting suggestions for his next destination.
On May 11, Garcetti, along with envoys from Qatar and Monaco, presented their credentials to President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
