Rajasthan’s State Government, on Monday, approved a significant funding of Rs 13.48 crore to bolster religious tourism initiatives in the regions of Nagaur, Jaisalmer, and Alwar. With a steadfast commitment to promoting religious tourism and providing enhanced facilities for pilgrims, the state government has continued its efforts to develop these sacred destinations. The allocated funds will be utilized to improve various religious sites and attractions across these regions.

Nagaur district, a popular religious destination, will receive a substantial grant of Rs 3.10 crore for the development of the Butati area. This funding aims to enhance infrastructure and amenities for pilgrims visiting the region, contributing to a more seamless and enriching religious tourism experience.

In Jaisalmer, the Ghatveshwar Mahadev Temple has been granted Rs 1.65 crore to bolster its existing infrastructure. This funding will support the temple’s growth and ensure that it can accommodate the increasing number of devotees who visit this revered place of worship.

Harmal Das Ji Maharaj Temple, situated in the Alwar region, will undergo significant improvements with the allotment of Rs 1.61 crore. These funds will be utilized to enhance the temple’s facilities, ensuring a comfortable and fulfilling experience for worshippers.

Additionally, Rs 1.36 crore has been allocated to improve facilities at the revered Dargah Hazrat Samman Badi Khatu in Nagaur. The funding will contribute to the development and modernization of amenities, making the pilgrimage more convenient for devotees.

Jaisalmer’s historical and religious tourist site, the Shri Kaledungar Rai Temple complex, has been earmarked for development with Rs 1.50 crore. This funding will facilitate the restoration and preservation of the temple, ensuring that its cultural and religious significance is safeguarded for future generations.

Alwar’s Bansur Fort will witness a significant boost in its religious tourism infrastructure with the sanctioning of Rs 4.24 crore. The funds will be utilized for the development of the Mataji Mandir and Ganga Mata Mandir, both located within the fort premises. These enhancements will further enrich the spiritual experience for visitors to this iconic heritage site.

The allocation of funds for religious tourism development in Nagaur, Jaisalmer, and Alwar reflects the Rajasthan government’s commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural and religious heritage of the state. By investing in the enhancement of facilities and infrastructure at these sacred sites, the government aims to provide a fulfilling and memorable experience for pilgrims and tourists alike.
