Murali Sreeshankar Secures Olympic Qualification with Silver Medal Win at Asian Athletics Championships

Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar has secured a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics after an outstanding performance at the Asian Athletics Championships. The 24-year-old athlete clinched a silver medal with a second career-best jump of 8.37 meters. Sreeshankar’s remarkable final round jump not only earned him a place on the podium but also met the Olympic qualification mark of 8.27 meters, set by the Paris Games committee.

The gold medal in the event was claimed by Yu Tang Lin of Chinese Taipei, who recorded a fourth round jump of 8.40 meters.
