Ashish Bansal, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railways, visited Noney district in Manipur today to review Awangkhul Railway Station progress. The officials coordinated the visit to inspect ongoing construction, safety protocols, and project timelines. This visit demonstrates Northeast Frontier Railways’ commitment to ensuring infrastructure development in remote areas.

During his visit, Ashish Bansal inspected platforms, tracks, and signaling systems, while interacting with engineers and project managers to understand challenges and review solutions. Moreover, he emphasized the importance of meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality construction standards.

Local railway officials provided updates on station facilities, including platform extensions, waiting areas, and accessibility features. Additionally, Ashish Bansal stressed effective coordination between local authorities and contractors to overcome logistical and environmental challenges posed by Noney’s hilly terrain.

The General Manager also discussed passenger amenities and safety measures, encouraging officials to engage with local communities and gather feedback on operational needs. Furthermore, he highlighted that involving residents will ensure smoother operations once the station becomes fully functional.

Ashish Bansal acknowledged the efforts of the railway team and directed officials to conduct strict quality checks, manage resources efficiently, and ensure timely completion of all construction phases. As a result, Awangkhul Railway Station is on track to serve as a vital transportation hub for Noney and nearby districts.
