CM Lalduhoma Celebrates Development Projects in Hmunpui
Chief Minister Lalduhoma joined villagers in Hmunpui to celebrate the completion of several infrastructure and livelihood projects. The event highlighted the government’s focus on rural development in Mizoram.

Government Rebuilds Road at Rs. 3 Crore Cost
While addressing residents, the Chief Minister said the government reconstructed the damaged road under SASCI 2025–26 Part-I at a cost of Rs. 3 crore.
Earlier, the PMGSY road suffered heavy damage and created transportation problems for villagers. Therefore, the government carried out urgent reconstruction work to improve connectivity in the area.
Moreover, residents said the new road would help students, farmers, and daily commuters travel more safely, especially during the monsoon season.
Rubber Mission Inspired by Tripura Model
The Chief Minister also explained the goals of the Rubber Mission launched by the Mizoram government. According to him, the government introduced the initiative after studying the successful rubber plantation model in Tripura.
Under the mission, the state plans to plant more than 51 lakh rubber saplings across 11,500 hectares over the next five years. In the second phase, Hmunpui received 24 hectares of rubber plantation land.
As a result, the project will create sustainable livelihood opportunities for local residents. Village leaders said 24 families will directly benefit from the plantation programme.
New Health Facility to Strengthen Rural Healthcare
The government also opened a new Health Sub-Centre and staff quarters under NABARD RIDF-30 funding. The facility will improve healthcare services for villagers and nearby communities.
In addition, the Chief Minister assured residents that the government would continue supporting development projects in Hmunpui. He also announced that officials are currently surveying the area for a new power supply line.
Because of these projects, residents expect better healthcare access and improved infrastructure in the coming years.
