Youth Congress Holds Protest March

The Manipur Youth Congress held the march under its employment-focused campaign, raising slogans related to government recruitment and job opportunities.

The Youth Congress said a predictable recruitment schedule would help job seekers prepare for government examinations and reduce uncertainty surrounding vacancies.

Youth Congress Raises Vacancy Concerns

During the protest, Tarh Johny claimed that more than 50,000 government posts were lying vacant in Manipur. The figure was presented by the Youth Congress as part of its argument for faster recruitment. Ukhrul Times

The Youth Congress also demanded a reduction in recruitment application fees, reportedly calling for fees to be reduced to ₹1.
