Sonowal Pays Tribute to Zubeen Garg
Speaking in Guwahati, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal remembered Zubeen Garg and highlighted his contribution to Assamese music and culture.
Sonowal said Garg had won the hearts of people through his songs. He also said the artiste’s contribution would remain unforgettable for generations.

Blood Donation Camp Held in Garg’s Honour
Sonowal also highlighted a blood donation programme organised by the Assam BJP in memory of the late singer.
According to the minister, the party’s youth wing is conducting the blood donation initiative across different parts of Assam. The campaign adds a social-service component to the statewide tributes being held for Garg.

According to the Press Information Bureau, the 20th Rozgar Mela was held on September 19, 2026, with more than 51,000 appointment letters distributed to newly recruited youth in government organisations.
The latest edition takes the overall number of appointment letters distributed through the initiative to about 12.75 lakh. Recruits have joined departments and organisations including Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Defence and Financial Services. Press Information Bureau
