Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan recently announced on her Instagram account that she has completed shooting for the upcoming thriller-drama film, “Ae Watan Mere Watan.” Directed by Kannan Iyer and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the film is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942.

Sara expressed her gratitude towards Iyer for offering her the opportunity to portray a “powerful” character in the film. She also shared a picture of herself with the director on her Instagram story and captioned it with a heartfelt message.

“Ae Watan Mere Watan” is a period drama that follows the story of a group of freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence during the Quit India Movement. The film features an ensemble cast that includes actors like Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar.

Sara, who made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with the film “Kedarnath,” has quickly become one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry. She has starred in several successful films, including “Simmba” and “Love Aaj Kal.”

In a recent interview, Sara spoke about her experience working on “Ae Watan Mere Watan” and how it was different from her previous projects. She mentioned that the film required a lot of preparation and research, as it is set in a time period that she had not experienced.

Sara also revealed that she had to undergo extensive training to prepare for her role in the film. She learned how to ride a horse and had to undergo physical training to build stamina and strength for the action sequences in the film.

The actress has been sharing glimpses of her journey on social media, giving her fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film. She has also been sharing pictures with her co-stars and crew members, expressing her gratitude towards them for their support and guidance.

With filming now complete, fans of Sara Ali Khan are eagerly awaiting the release of “Ae Watan Mere Watan.” The film is expected to hit theaters later this year and promises to be an exciting addition to the list of Bollywood’s period dramas.
