IIT Kharagpur Spring Fest 2023: A Showcase of India’s Best Art and Music

Spring Fest, the annual social and cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur left an unforgettable mark in the history of all college fests. The 64th edition Spring Fest was a gem of a celebration to be cherished forever.

Energy packed events in 10 different genres, artistic shows by some of India’s most proficient flairs, motivational panel discussions with some renowned personalities and at last the thrilling Pronites, all of it made Spring Fest 2023 a huge success.

Driven by style, Spring Fest had big sponsors like “Royal Enfield Hunter 350” as its title sponsor, “Bharat X” as Co-title sponsor, “Paytm”, “Jio”, “TOI”, “Coca-Cola”, “Nomura” and various others

The core of this fest lies in vibrance of its events, with ton of them in genres of dance, music, dramatics, Fashion fest, literary, Film fest, Quiz, Fine arts, Humor, etc. More than 100 events were contested providing a platform to the students to showcase their talent and prove their calibre. Spring Fest had a footfall of more than 50K and participation from more than 200 colleges from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and more than 20 different regions. The flagship events unfurled their magic. Shuffle and centrifuge, with prizes worth 2 lakh experienced participation from more than 20 different colleges.

Nukkad, the Street Play Competition in dramatics had prize worth 1,50,000 remained the centre of attraction for the audience.

Wildfire – The Battle of Bands was a rocking competition among bands from across the nation. It had prizes worth 8 lakhs.

An elegance expression of style, Fashion Fest had some amazing events to catch Panache – Paper dress Designing competition, Mr and Mrs SF – Personality hunt competition, Navyata – Fashion show, Stash and show – online modelling competition acknowledged your sense in fashion. The prizes worth alone in fashion was more than 5 lakhs and plethora of novel events.

A mesmerizing cultural extravaganza with a blend of art from across the nation and abroad. The adrenaline rush Silent DJ, Diabolo art of Aditya Tiwari, fire show by Sagar James, amazing rap show by NRS at SF Cafe and more than 15 others set the stage on fire with their performance.

The key to a healthy outside begins on the inside. Healthily growing children and adequate nutrition are the foundations of a community’s and a nation’s development for they are tomorrow’s leaders. Since the pandemic began two years ago, they have struggled to obtain even the basic nourishment needed to survive. In the 64th Edition of Spring Fest 2023, IIT Kharagpur announced ‘PUKAAR – Fulfilling a Silent Demand,’ as its social initiative of 2023 with the support of UNICEF India for supporting the cause and Child Rights and You, Vriddhi – Educating India which made this possible, announced its social initiative of 2023 as ‘PUKAAR – Fulfilling a Silent Demand.’

The Pronites at last remained the biggest hit in spring fest. Evolving through time, 2023 saw one of the most entertaining star line-up, with live concerts by some of the most famous bands and artists of national acclaim.

The inaugural day was star lit by NIKHIL D’SOUZA. The Anubhav Night with KING to continue the rap rhythm and making us groove on the dance floor. The DJ Night of NUCLEYA, one of the best EDM artist as Red Bull- Off The Roof concert, was a thrill of an experience, made the multitude vibe on some amazing hits.

The Pal Night with SUNIDHI CHAUHAN alone bewitched the crowd. These ingenious artists left all of us stunned by their repertoire, giving a memorable end to spring fest 2023.
