SpiceJet, a popular no-frills airline in India, has announced that it will operate additional flights from Saudi Arabia to various Indian cities to bring back more people who were evacuated from Sudan under “Operation Kaveri”. The airline recently flew 184 Indian nationals from Jeddah to Kochi on April 30 as part of the same operation.

In a press release, SpiceJet said that it is closely coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to ensure the safe return of all Indian citizens affected by the conflict in Sudan. The airline has expressed its commitment to providing swift and efficient evacuation services to all those in need.

Operation Kaveri is a joint initiative between the Indian government and various private airlines, including SpiceJet, to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in conflict zones or facing other crises abroad. The operation was launched in 2015 and has since successfully evacuated thousands of Indians from Yemen, Libya, and other troubled areas.

The recent evacuation from Sudan was carried out in response to the ongoing political unrest and violence in the country. The Indian Embassy in Khartoum had issued an advisory to all Indian citizens living in Sudan to leave the country immediately and make their way to Juba, the capital of South Sudan, where a special flight would be arranged to bring them back to India.

SpiceJet, along with other private airlines, has been instrumental in carrying out these evacuation missions, providing safe and reliable transportation to thousands of Indians stranded in conflict zones around the world. The airline has been widely praised for its efforts in this regard, with many people expressing their gratitude for the timely and efficient manner in which it has carried out these missions.

The airline has also taken several measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its passengers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It has implemented strict hygiene and sanitization protocols on all its flights, and has also introduced contactless check-in and boarding procedures to minimize physical contact and reduce the risk of transmission.

In addition to its evacuation efforts, SpiceJet has also been expanding its network and increasing its services to meet the growing demand for air travel in India. The airline recently announced plans to add several new routes and destinations to its network, including Darbhanga, Gorakhpur, and Nashik, among others.

SpiceJet’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and efficient air transportation has made it one of the most popular airlines in India, with a loyal customer base and a reputation for quality service. With its continued focus on customer satisfaction and innovation, the airline is poised to remain a leading player in the Indian aviation industry for years to come.
