Anuradha Paudwal, a renowned Indian playback singer, has expressed gratitude for her successful career in the performing arts. Despite coming from a family that did not support women pursuing such a career, Paudwal has gone on to sing over 12,000 film and devotional songs.

Her journey began in 1973 when legendary composer SD Burman launched her as a playback singer in the film “Abhimaan,” where she performed an iteration of the shlok ‘Omkaram Bindu Samyuktam.’ This led to further opportunities for studio recordings in Famous Studio, Film Centre, and Bombay Land.

Paudwal attributes her successful career to several unexpected opportunities, including the chance to sing with Mohammed Rafi and perform 250 live shows with Kishore Kumar, including a performance at New York’s Royal Albert Hall. Additionally, her work on the memorable album “Aashiqui” was not something she ever anticipated.

Despite facing initial resistance from her family, Paudwal’s passion for music and dedication to her craft has led her to great success. She has become a celebrated figure in the Indian music industry and an inspiration to aspiring singers around the world.
