Warner Bros is celebrating its 100 years of existence by bringing back two of its most iconic movie franchises — “Harry Potter” and “The Lord of the Rings” — to Indian cinemas. The marathon run of “Harry Potter” movies began on Friday and will continue till May 11.

Leading theatre chains PVR-Inox and Miraj Cinemas have started screening the movies, based on author JK Rowling’s book series, across the country. Fans of the wizarding world will be able to relive their favorite moments from the series, starting with “The Philosopher’s Stone” and ending with “The Deathly Hallows – Part 1 & 2”.

The Harry Potter franchise has been a cultural phenomenon ever since the first book was published in 1997. The movies, which released between 2001 and 2011, have grossed over $7 billion worldwide. The series follows the adventures of a young orphan boy, Harry Potter, who discovers that he is a wizard and attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The return of the franchise to the big screen is sure to delight fans of all ages who have been eagerly waiting for the opportunity to experience the magic once again. Warner Bros’ decision to bring back the movies to celebrate its 100 years is a testament to the lasting impact that the series has had on popular culture.

In addition to “Harry Potter”, Warner Bros is also bringing back “The Lord of the Rings” to Indian cinemas. The franchise, based on author J.R.R. Tolkien’s book series, consists of three movies: “The Fellowship of the Ring”, “The Two Towers”, and “The Return of the King”. The movies, which released between 2001 and 2003, were directed by Peter Jackson and grossed over $3 billion worldwide.

The Lord of the Rings franchise is widely considered to be one of the greatest movie trilogies of all time. The movies transport viewers to the world of Middle-earth and follow the journey of a hobbit named Frodo Baggins who is tasked with destroying the powerful One Ring.

The return of these two iconic franchises is a treat for moviegoers who have been missing the big screen experience. With the ongoing pandemic, movie theaters have been hit hard, and the return of such beloved franchises is sure to bring back audiences.
