Meanwhile, former Union Minister Renuka Chowdhury criticized the police, suggesting that the ruling BRS (name of the ruling party) is anxious about the public meeting.
Congress MLA D Sridhar Babu went further and alleged that the police and government officials were deliberately obstructing the smooth conduct of the event, presumably at the behest of the ruling BRS leaders. However, the police have refuted these claims, asserting that they are impartial in their handling of the situation.
