BJP MLA Visits Arson Site in Kanto Sabal

BJP MLA Heikham Dingo Singh on Monday visited Kanto Sabal village in Manipur’s Imphal West district after three abandoned houses were set ablaze.

The MLA described the incident as “very disheartening.” He expressed concern because the arson occurred near the Leimakhong Army camp, one of the largest military installations in Northeast India.

According to Singh, the area holds strategic importance, and any act of violence near the camp is highly condemnable. He added that maintaining peace and security around such sensitive locations is essential.

Singh said the incident had been discussed with Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
