Security Forces Conduct Major Operation in Lamdeng
Security forces carried out a major operation in Lamdeng after receiving intelligence inputs about illegal arms transactions in the area.

Later, authorities arrested two more cadres identified as Ningthoujam Rakesh Singh and Chingakham Mahesh Singh for their alleged involvement in firing at security forces.
Cadres Allegedly Linked to Illegal Arms Sale
During preliminary questioning, the arrested cadres reportedly told investigators that they came to sell the seized weapon under instructions from self-styled Lance Corporal Naorem Bijoy alias Macha of UNLF (P).
Police also stated that the cadres allegedly admitted involvement in earlier cases related to the sale of looted arms and ammunition.
Huge Cache of Arms Recovered
After the arrests, joint teams of Manipur Police, Assam Rifles, and CRPF launched cordon and search operations at an unauthorized UNLF (P) camp in Lamdeng.
During the first search, forces recovered 29 weapons, including AK-series rifles, M-series rifles, pistols, and other firearms.
On May 21, security teams recovered 38 more weapons and heavy war-like stores.
The seized items included sniper rifles, carbines, shotguns, mortars, an RPG-7 launcher, explosives, ammunition, anti-drone equipment, and other incriminating materials.
