Boost to Self-Employment

In addition, the government introduced the Startup Toolkit Support Scheme. This initiative will provide tools to skilled workers, enabling them to start their own ventures.

Therefore, workers can transition toward self-employment and increase their income opportunities. Furthermore, the move encourages skill utilisation across the construction sector.

Education Support Under ENABLE

The “ENABLE” programme focuses on improving education access for workers’ children. It includes reserved seats and full fee waivers in educational institutions.

Consequently, children from labour families will receive better learning opportunities. At the same time, the initiative aims to reduce financial barriers to education.

Infrastructure Development Through BUILD

The “BUILD” initiative targets investment in community infrastructure. It focuses on areas with a high concentration of construction workers.

As a result, these communities will benefit from improved facilities and living conditions. Additionally, the programme supports long-term development in labour-dominated regions.

Digital Labour Chowk App Launched

The state also launched a Digital Labour Chowk App to connect workers with job opportunities and government schemes. Through this platform, workers can easily access employment information.

Moreover, the app simplifies the process of availing benefits. Therefore, it enhances transparency and accessibility in labour welfare systems.

Extension of Central Welfare Schemes

The government announced the extension of key central schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

Importantly, the concerned board will bear the premium costs. As a result, workers will receive insurance and pension benefits without financial burden.
