Four-Day Search Ends in Meghalaya

SDRF personnel quickly reached the location and started a recovery attempt. However, strong currents and hazardous water conditions made the operation unsafe.
The rescue team therefore suspended the recovery effort for the day. Officials planned to resume the operation once conditions became safer.

SDRF personnel resumed the search operation on the morning of July 26.
At around 7:10 am, the team successfully recovered the body from the river. The recovery brought the four-day search operation to an end.
The SDRF then handed the body over to Mawngap Police for legal formalities.
