In a powerful sermon delivered at the Jama Masjid, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, reaffirmed Islam’s steadfast opposition to extremism and its unwavering dedication to safeguarding humanity. The sermon, known as the ‘Khutbah,’ is traditionally delivered on Fridays before the Jumma prayers.

Addressing a diverse congregation, Al-Issa emphasized that Islam, as a faith, unequivocally rejects all forms of extremism and violence. He highlighted the importance of fostering an environment of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, stressing that these values lie at the heart of Islamic teachings. Al-Issa’s sermon aimed to counter the misperception that Islam promotes radical ideologies and terrorism.

During his address, Al-Issa asserted that those who choose the path of violence and radicalism will ultimately face defeat. He emphasized that Islam’s true essence lies in compassion, justice, and the preservation of human life. The Secretary General called on Muslims worldwide to reject any form of extremism and work collectively towards the betterment of society.

Al-Issa’s sermon also sought to dispel misconceptions about the Muslim community and foster a spirit of understanding and harmony among different religious groups. He highlighted the importance of engaging in open dialogue and building bridges of cooperation to combat the rising tide of hatred and intolerance.

As the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Al-Issa has been at the forefront of promoting interfaith dialogue and countering extremism. His visit to the Jama Masjid provided an opportunity to address a wide range of issues, including the responsibility of religious leaders in countering radical ideologies and promoting peaceful coexistence.

Al-Issa’s presence at the Jama Masjid, a renowned mosque in the heart of the city, underscored the significance of his message. His words resonated with the audience, comprising Muslims from various walks of life, as well as non-Muslims interested in gaining a deeper understanding of Islam.

The Muslim World League, under Al-Issa’s leadership, has been actively engaged in promoting the true teachings of Islam, denouncing extremist interpretations, and working towards global harmony. The organization has been at the forefront of efforts to counter Islamophobia, promote religious tolerance, and enhance interfaith dialogue.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa’s sermon at the Jama Masjid reiterated Islam’s unequivocal rejection of extremism and its commitment to protecting humanity. Through his address, Al-Issa sought to dispel misconceptions about Islam and foster a spirit of unity, peace, and mutual respect. His words carry immense significance in the current global climate, emphasizing the need for interfaith dialogue and collective efforts to combat radical ideologies.
