Riding Presley OL, he marked a milestone for Indian equestrian sports and highlighted Northeast India’s growing global presence. Historic Grand Prix Victory in France

Kekhriesilie Rio delivered a standout performance at Haras de Liverdy, France. Riding Presley OL, he clinched the Grand Prix title in a prestigious showjumping event.

Rio’s journey reflects years of dedication and steady progress. Earlier, he secured third place at the Junior National Equestrian Championship in Dibrugarh during 2014–15.

Subsequently, he won the Junior National Show Jumping Championship in Kolkata in 2018. His international breakthrough came in 2019 when he finished second at the Asian Equestrian Federation Junior/Young Jumping Challenge.

Furthermore, he ranked No. 2 globally and No. 1 in Asia at the FEI World Show Jumping Challenge in Bengaluru in 2020. In 2021, he added another podium finish at the National Equestrian Championship in Delhi, strengthening his reputation.


Arunachal Pradesh Pushes Strategic Infrastructure

Meanwhile, Pema Khandu met Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of infrastructure in border districts.

He highlighted that improved connectivity supports both national security and regional development. Therefore, he urged the Centre to continue its support.


Priority Corridor Project Highlighted

Khandu identified the Akajan–Likabali–Bame corridor as a key project. This corridor will connect Assam’s plains with remote districts like Upper Subansiri and Shi-Yomi.

Additionally, the project includes a major bridge over the Taro Tamak River. The Border Roads Organisation is executing most sections of the project.


Centre Assures Support

In response, Rajnath Singh assured that the Centre will prioritise infrastructure proposals from Arunachal Pradesh. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening border regions.

As a result, the state expects timely execution of key infrastructure works.
