Indian Army Foils Infiltration Attempts Along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir

The Indian Army successfully thwarted two infiltration attempts by Pakistani individuals along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. In the first incident, a Pakistani intruder, identified as Mohammad Usman from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was apprehended in Rajouri district. Usman was intercepted by troops after he entered Tarkundi village on Sunday evening.

According to officials, no incriminating items were found in Usman’s possession, but he is currently being questioned for further investigation. In a separate incident on April 29, a father-son duo from PoK, Sardar Abdul Hamid and his son Abbass, were detained in the Poonch district. The duo had inadvertently crossed the border and intruded into the Indian side.

During questioning, it was revealed that Hamid and Abbass had lost their way and accidentally crossed the LoC. The Indian Army established contact with their Pakistani counterparts, and the father-son pair was later repatriated through the Chakan Da Bagh border crossing.

Earlier in April, the Army successfully foiled another infiltration bid along the LoC in Poonch. During the operation, one intruder was killed, and two others were arrested. The Army recovered narcotics weighing approximately 17 kg, Pakistan currency notes, documents, and eatables from the intruders.

These incidents highlight the continuous efforts made by the Indian Army to maintain the security and integrity of the LoC. The Army remains vigilant in its operations to prevent any infiltration attempts by individuals from across the border.
