Parikrama Guns N Roses Guwahati Show Set for November
The Parikrama Guns N Roses pairing has added a major Indian rock act to the American band’s upcoming Guwahati concert. Parikrama will perform before Guns N’ Roses take the stage on November 17.
Guns N’ Roses will hold the concert at the Khanapara Veterinary Ground in Guwahati. According to the official tour schedule, the show is part of the band’s Asia and Australia-New Zealand leg for 2026.
The Guwahati concert also carries particular significance for the Northeast. It will be the first time Guns N’ Roses perform in the region, giving Assam a prominent place on the band’s current international touring schedule.
Meanwhile, the concert follows the group’s Bengaluru show on November 14. Sikkim-origin rock band Girish and the Chronicles will open that performance, creating a strong presence for Indian rock musicians across both Indian dates.
BookMyShow lists the Guwahati event for November 17, with the programme scheduled to begin at 4 pm. The venue is the Khanapara Veterinary Ground, while the concert is being promoted by BookMyShow Live.
The two-city arrangement therefore gives Indian rock artists an opportunity to share the stage with one of the world’s best-known rock bands. It also places Guwahati within a major international concert itinerary.
Parikrama Guns N Roses Pairing Highlights Indian Rock
The Parikrama Guns N Roses collaboration brings together artists from different periods of the Indian and global rock movements. Parikrama emerged from Delhi’s rock scene in 1991 and has remained active for more than three decades.
The band is known for combining Western rock structures with Indian musical influences. Its long career has also included appearances alongside major international rock acts.
Parikrama previously opened for Iron Maiden in Bengaluru in 2007. Later that year, the band performed at the Download Festival in the United Kingdom, adding an international chapter to its career.
The band’s selection for the Guwahati show consequently reflects its established position within India’s rock community. Its experience with large audiences and international rock events makes it a natural addition to a concert of this scale.
Parikrama has also built a multi-generational audience through its long-running catalogue. Songs such as “But It Rained” and “Open Skies” remain closely associated with the band’s identity.
For the Guwahati audience, the opening performance will therefore offer an opportunity to see a veteran Indian rock band before an international act. The combination also reflects the increasing presence of Indian musicians in major global touring events.
Furthermore, the pairing gives the concert a distinctly Indian musical connection instead of presenting the event solely as an international touring stop.
Guns N’ Roses Brings First Northeast India Concert
The Parikrama Guns N Roses show will form part of Guns N’ Roses’ 2026 world tour. The band will perform in Bengaluru on November 14 before travelling to Guwahati for the November 17 concert.
The official Guns N’ Roses tour schedule confirms the Guwahati date and lists Parikrama as the special guest. The schedule also identifies the Khanapara Veterinary Ground as the venue.
The Northeast debut is significant because Guwahati has increasingly emerged as a destination for large-scale music events. The city provides access to audiences from Assam and neighbouring states, making it an important venue for major touring productions.
Guns N’ Roses last performed in India in May 2025 at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse. That concert marked the band’s return to the country after more than a decade away from the Indian stage.
The 2026 return comes relatively soon after that appearance. However, the new tour expands the band’s Indian presence by adding Guwahati alongside Bengaluru.
The band formed in Los Angeles in 1985 and became one of the defining rock groups of the late 1980s and 1990s. Its catalogue and long-running global touring history have helped maintain its international profile across generations.
The current touring line-up includes vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. BookMyShow’s event listing identifies the three as members performing on the Indian dates.
Consequently, the Guwahati concert is expected to attract audiences from beyond Assam. The event’s significance extends to the broader Northeast, where rock music has maintained a strong grassroots following.
Parikrama Guns N Roses Concert Expands Guwahati Music Calendar
The Parikrama Guns N Roses concert adds another major international event to Guwahati’s expanding live-music calendar. The city has hosted large concerts and cultural programmes involving performers from India and abroad.
Hosting a globally recognised rock band can also strengthen Guwahati’s profile as an entertainment destination. Large concerts bring together audiences from different cities while creating activity for event workers, hospitality businesses and local services.
At the same time, the involvement of Parikrama highlights the role of established Indian musicians in major international concerts. The opening slot gives a homegrown band direct exposure before an audience gathered for a global act.
The Bengaluru date follows a similar model. Girish and the Chronicles, which originated in Sikkim, will open for Guns N’ Roses there on November 14. The band’s selection also adds a Northeast connection to the Bengaluru leg.
Girish and the Chronicles previously opened for Guns N’ Roses in Abu Dhabi in 2023 and again at the band’s Mumbai concert in 2025. Their return for the Bengaluru show demonstrates the continuing relationship between the Indian band and the international rock group.
Meanwhile, Parikrama brings a different but equally established chapter of Indian rock history to the Guwahati date. The two Indian bands therefore represent distinct generations and regional connections within the country’s rock scene.
The concert also arrives at a time when major music events are becoming increasingly visible across Northeast India. Guwahati’s geographical position and growing event infrastructure make it a practical destination for large touring productions.
As November approaches, attention will focus on the final event arrangements and the performances planned around the two major acts. The confirmed schedule already establishes Guwahati as an important stop on the 2026 Guns N’ Roses tour.
Conclusion
The Parikrama Guns N Roses concert in Guwahati will bring an influential Indian rock band together with one of the world’s most recognisable rock groups. Parikrama will open the November 17 show at the Khanapara Veterinary Ground.
Guns N’ Roses’ first Northeast India performance gives the event added regional significance. At the same time, Parikrama’s decades-long career provides a strong Indian rock presence before the international headliners take the stage.
The Guwahati concert also forms part of a wider two-city India tour, with Bengaluru scheduled for November 14. Together, the shows highlight the growing role of Indian rock musicians in major international concert programmes.
