On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the people of India on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, which is considered an auspicious day for starting new things and making purchases. Modi highlighted the festival’s association with charity and beginning auspicious work, wishing everyone happiness, prosperity, and good health.

In another tweet, the Prime Minister greeted people on the birth anniversary of saint Parshuram, who is worshipped by devotees across the country. PM Modi also extended his warm wishes to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, hoping that the spirit of harmony and compassion will be furthered in society.

President Droupadi Murmu also greeted the citizens of India on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. In her message, the President emphasized that Eid spreads feelings of love, compassion, and affection, and gives the message of solidarity and mutual harmony. She urged everyone to promote feelings of brotherhood and harmony in society and work towards building a peaceful and prosperous nation.

On the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand began one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimages in India. The pilgrimage includes a tour of four holy sites nestled high up in the Himalayas, namely Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on April 25 and Gangotri Dham on April 22.

Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, secretary of the state health department, issued a health advisory for pilgrims on Wednesday. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has withdrawn the daily cap restricting the number of devotees for the Chardham Yatra on Friday, following which online and offline registration procedures will remain the same to keep track of devotees.

People across the country offered Namaz and hugged each other on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in Bhopal, Mumbai, Delhi, and other places. The President and Prime Minister’s messages emphasized the importance of harmony and compassion in society and working towards building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
