The Kejriwal Questions ED’s Inclusion Of Sanjay Singh In Delhi Excise Policy Case

The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of falsely implicating Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP, Sanjay Singh, in a case related to the excise policy. Kejriwal took to Twitter to question whether anyone could be named in a chargesheet by mistake, implying that the whole case is fabricated. He also accused the Prime Minister of trying to defame his party and stop its growth through dirty politics.

Meanwhile, AAP has accused the ED of deliberately defaming the party and its leaders. Delhi Cabinet minister and AAP chief spokesperson, Saurabh Bharadwaj, called out the CBI and ED for becoming synonymous with harassment, fear, torture, threatening, and defamation.

Sanjay Singh had sent a legal notice to the ED seeking an apology or facing civil and criminal proceedings for allegedly making derogatory claims against him. However, the ED clarified that Singh’s name appeared four times in the chargesheet, with one reference being mistaken and typed inadvertently. The ED counsel wrote to Singh’s lawyer, acknowledging the error and stating that instead of Rahul Singh, Sanjay Singh was mentioned inadvertently in one reference.

Bharadwaj accused the ED of inserting BJP MP’s name deliberately while claiming Sanjay Singh’s name was mentioned by mistake. He claimed the entire case was fabricated, and the government was trying to defame AAP and its leaders through false allegations.

The excise policy case involving Sanjay Singh has become a political battleground with AAP accusing the government of trying to defame the party, and the ED clarifying that Singh’s name was mentioned by mistake.
