Amidst growing concerns over the law and order situation in Manipur, two trains that connect the state have been cancelled by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). The decision was taken with immediate effect and will last for two days starting from Friday. The cancellation has disrupted travel plans for many passengers who rely on these trains to commute between Manipur and other parts of the country.

The NFR spokesperson, Sabyasachi De, informed the media that the decision was taken after careful evaluation of the prevailing situation in the state. He further stated that the resumption of train services would depend on the situation and that a decision would be taken after monitoring the situation closely.

The cancellation of the train services has caused inconvenience to many people who rely on these trains for their daily commute. Students, office-goers, and other passengers have been left stranded due to the sudden cancellation. Many people took to social media to express their frustration over the cancellation and urged the authorities to restore train services at the earliest.

The law and order situation in Manipur has been a cause of concern for quite some time now. The state has witnessed a spate of violent incidents in recent months, including bomb blasts, shootings, and kidnappings. The situation has deteriorated to such an extent that the central government has deployed additional security forces in the state to maintain law and order.

The cancellation of train services is likely to add to the worries of the people of Manipur, who are already grappling with a range of issues. The state has been facing a shortage of essential commodities due to the ongoing economic blockade by some groups. The cancellation of train services is likely to further exacerbate the situation and lead to further hardships for the people.

The authorities have appealed to the people to remain calm and cooperate with the security forces to maintain peace in the state. They have assured the people that all necessary steps are being taken to restore normalcy in the state and ensure the safety of the people.

The cancellation of train services is a reminder of the fragile nature of peace and stability in the region. The Northeast has been plagued by conflicts and violence for decades, and the situation in Manipur is a reflection of the larger challenges that the region faces. The need of the hour is for all stakeholders to come together and work towards finding a lasting solution to the problems that plague the region.
