In an effort to promote self-employment and sustainable livelihood opportunities in rural Tripura, Yaphang Trust, a non-governmental organization working for community welfare and rural development, extended support to a local resident through the donation of mushroom seeds.
The beneficiary, Mr. Satish Debbarma, a resident of Charilam, Tripura, received the mushroom seeds as part of the Trust’s small livelihood assistance initiative. Mr. Debbarma resides at P.O. Ramnagar, P.S. Bishramganj, in Sepahijala District, Tripura.
The initiative was undertaken with the aim of encouraging small-scale mushroom cultivation, which has become an increasingly popular source of income among rural households due to its low investment cost and good market demand. Through this contribution, Yaphang Trust hopes to inspire self-reliance and create opportunities for economic growth at the grassroots level.
Speaking about the initiative, representatives of Yaphang Trust stated that even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families striving for financial stability. The organization believes that livelihood-based support programs are essential in empowering communities and improving living standards in rural areas.
Mushroom cultivation is considered a practical and sustainable activity that can be carried out with limited resources and space. By supporting such initiatives, Yaphang Trust aims to encourage entrepreneurship and help local residents generate additional income for their families.
The Trust has been actively involved in various community welfare activities and continues to work towards social development through awareness programs, livelihood support, and rural empowerment initiatives across Tripura.
This donation reflects the organization’s commitment to helping people become self-dependent while promoting long-term community development. Yaphang Trust expressed its intention to continue supporting deserving individuals through similar welfare and livelihood initiatives in the future.
