On the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand began one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimages in India. The pilgrimage includes a tour of four holy sites nestled high up in the Himalayas, namely Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on April 25 and Gangotri Dham on April 22.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has withdrawn the daily cap restricting the number of devotees for the Chardham Yatra on Friday, following which online and offline registration procedures will remain the same to keep track of devotees.
