Leaders Express Concern

Former Manipur CM N. Biren Singh strongly criticised the reported attack and urged authorities to take swift action. Moreover, he emphasised that racial discrimination against people from the Northeast must not be tolerated.

Similarly, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma expressed concern over the incident. He stressed that all citizens deserve equal protection and respect regardless of their region or ethnicity.

Concerns Over Safety of Northeast Residents

The incident has once again highlighted concerns about the safety of people from Northeast states living in major Indian cities. Furthermore, community groups have often raised issues related to racial discrimination and harassment.

Consequently, leaders and civil society organisations have called for stronger measures to prevent such incidents and ensure justice for victims.

Call for Strict Action

Political leaders urged law enforcement authorities in Delhi to thoroughly investigate the case and take strict action against those involved. Additionally, they emphasised the importance of creating awareness about respecting cultural diversity in the country.
