The government of Rajasthan has announced the establishment of three new nursing colleges in the districts of Ajmer, Chittorgarh, and Nagaur. The colleges will be set up at Masuda in Ajmer, Rawatbhata in Chittorgarh, and Nawan in Nagaur, and will cost over Rs 17 crore. The move is expected to provide quality nursing education to students in these districts and improve the availability of healthcare professionals in the state.
According to an official statement, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has approved a financial provision of Rs 17.70 crore for the operation of these colleges. The colleges will create a total of 24 new job positions each, which will provide employment opportunities to the local people.
The establishment of the nursing colleges will help in addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals in the state. As per reports, there is a significant shortage of nurses in Rajasthan, especially in rural areas. The state government aims to provide quality education and training to aspiring nurses to bridge this gap.
The colleges will offer courses in nursing and midwifery, and will have modern infrastructure and facilities for the students. They will also provide opportunities for students to gain practical experience through internships and placements in hospitals and healthcare centers.
The move is expected to have a positive impact on the healthcare sector in the state. The availability of trained nurses will improve the quality of care provided to patients and reduce the burden on existing healthcare professionals. It will also create job opportunities for the local youth and contribute to the overall development of the region.
