F.C. Nassaji Mazandaran is an Iranian professional football club based in Qa’em Shahr, Mazandaran. The club was founded in 1959 and is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the Caspian region of Iran. Nassaji currently competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League, the top tier of Iranian football.

Nassaji entered the Iranian football scene in 1988, participating in the Qods Cup. Their impressive performance led to their promotion to the top division, the Azadegan League, in 1991. Nassaji remained a competitive force in the Azadegan League until 1995, showcasing their potential and establishing themselves as a prominent club in Iranian football.

Despite their early success, Nassaji faced challenges in the following years, experiencing relegation and periods of struggle. However, the club’s spirit and determination remained unwavering. In 2001, with the establishment of the Azadegan League as the second-highest league in Iran, Nassaji embarked on a journey of resurgence.

Nassaji’s dedication and resilience paid off in 2018 when they earned promotion to the Persian Gulf Pro League for the first time. This marked a significant milestone for the club and the province of Mazandaran, bringing top-flight football back to the region.

Nassaji’s success continued in the Persian Gulf Pro League. They consistently placed in the mid-table positions, showcasing their ability to compete among the top teams in Iran. In 2021–22, Nassaji achieved a historic feat by winning the Hazfi Cup, the Iranian national cup competition. This victory secured their qualification for the AFC Champions League, the premier club football competition in Asia.

Nassaji boasts one of the highest average attendances in Iran, indicating the passionate support they receive from their fans. The club has also played a significant role in developing football infrastructure and fostering a love for the sport in Mazandaran.
