The India U17 women’s team has secured a place in Round 2 of the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers after defeating Myanmar 2-1 in their concluding match of Group F on Friday. The team won both of their matches against the Kyrgyz Republic and Myanmar, finishing with six points in the three-team group.

India got off to a strong start with goals from Sulanjana and Pooja in the 24th and 33rd minutes, respectively, giving them a 2-0 lead. However, Myanmar fought back in the 75th minute with a goal from Ya Min Phyu, putting pressure on the Indian defence in the last 15 minutes of the match.

Despite Myanmar’s efforts to equalize, the Indian defence held strong and secured the win, qualifying for Round 2 of the tournament scheduled for September later this year.

The India U17 women’s team has been working hard to improve their performance in recent years, and their qualification for Round 2 of the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup is a significant achievement. The team will now look to build on this success as they prepare for the next stage of the competition.
