The Panjab University (PU) in Chandigarh is preparing for the election of the deans on February 20th. The election will be held in the Senate Hall of the university. This election is set to be an important milestone for the university since it is the first time that professors aged above 60 years can participate in the election.

The university has also set a time frame for the election of the deans. The election process will begin on February 10th, with the notification of the election. The election commission will then issue nomination forms for the eligible candidates. The candidates must file their nomination forms by February 16th. The list of eligible candidates will be announced on February 17th, and the election commission will begin the process of scrutiny of the nomination papers the following day. The final list of the eligible candidates will be announced on February 19th.
The election for the deans will take place on February 20th. The elected deans will take charge of their offices from March 2021. The deans will hold office for a period of three years and will be eligible for re-election.
