Dr. Shashank Kulkarni, Assistant Professor, litterateur and renowned agricultural policy expert of Central University of Jharkhand has been granted a design patent by the Patent Office of the Government of India for his innovative research “Agricultural Guiding AI Device”.
Regarding this design patent, Dr Kulkarni said that, along with the farmers of Jharkhand, this patent will prove to be important for other farmers of the country. Using Artificial Intelligence, this device will provide information on various agricultural policies and schemes of the government to remote farmers in their own villages with just one click. Due to which common farmers will be able to take maximum benefit of these schemes and policies. This proposed device can be installed in the Panchayat house of every village.
His patented device is an AI-driven tool designed to provide guidance to farmers in a scientific and accessible manner. This innovation is poised to make a significant impact on India’s agricultural policy framework and future farming technologies.
Dr. Kulkarni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Central University of Jharkhand. With over 12 years of foundational research on India’s agricultural and farmer policies, he has also had the opportunity to work with the Father of India’s Green Revolution, Bharat Ratna Prof. M.S. Swaminathan.
